Men’s Journal featured Champagne Bollinger in a story titled, The New Champagnes Every Bond Fan Will Want Ahead of ‘No Time to Die.’ The detailed story highlights that Bollinger will be releasing two rare, limited-edition champagnes to mark the upcoming release of the 25th James Bond film. The piece provides historical context about the 40 year relationship as the international man of mystery’s preferred Champagne since Moonraker in 1979, all based on a handshake agreement between the Broccoli and Bollinger families without money ever exchanging hands.
Of the 40th anniversary, the writer explains “that’s why Bollinger decided to create a stunningly packaged Moonraker magnum: the 40th anniversary of Moonraker,” adding, “Bollinger enlisted designer Eric Berthes to re-imagine the Moonraker space shuttle. It’s crafted from pewter and wood veneer, and the case hides a Saint Louis crystal ice bucket and a magnum of Bollinger 2007. There’s no U.S. price yet set for this limited edition (only 407 numbered Moonraker shuttles are being produced), but it’s been set at £4,500 for the U.K. market.” The piece also highlights the Bollinger 007 Limited Edition, Vintage 2011, which is available this holiday season for $230. “This is a blanc de noirs: a white sparkling wine created from pinot noir grapes from the 2011 crop. Bollinger has never released a 2011 vintage wine before, and this particular vintage has also spent most of the last decade aging in oak, adding to its uniqueness among the portfolio.” Read more details about both pieces HERE

This limited edition cuvée celebrates 2 important milestones. Firstly, it celebrates the historic partnership between Bollinger and Bond. Bollinger has been the exclusive Champagne partner of Bond since 1979, so 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of their relationship. Secondly, it celebrates the release of the upcoming movie, No Time to Die, which will be the 25th movie in the series (and Bollinger’s 15th Bond movie since the start of the partnership).

Bollinger is one of the rare Grande Marques that’s still family owned. Known for its rich, elegant and polished style of Champagne, their outstanding wines are the result of rigorous attention to detail and incredibly labor-intensive practices that few houses are willing to undertake. Underscoring its excellence, Bollinger has remained British secret agent James Bond's Champagne of choice since 1973.
